How to use this site

Searching The Sky and Sea Photography Stock Library

The Sky and Sea stock photography site is an easy to search database for our growing collection of images. You can browse by category, or enter keywords in the search box to narrow your choices. We have embedded keywords into all the image collections to respond to more targeted searches. The scope of your search results is determined by your selection of keywords. An Advanced Search option is available to help you locate specific images or locations.  To look at a larger version of the image and ordering information, click on it.   If you don’t find an image that you are looking for please contact me.  I have many images that are not on the website.

The Lightbox

You can save images to your own Lightbox for comparison or later review. Up to 30 images may be saved to your Lightbox in this way. If you decide that you would like to arrange or discuss licensing of images in your lightbox then please click 'Send Lightbox to Sky and Sea Photography Licensing' together with your contact information and we will contact you in due course.

All images on this website are the copyrighted intellectual property of Veronica von Allwörden and are protected by United States and International copyright laws. These images may not legally be copied, published, transmitted, manipulated, projected, reproduced, stored, used as the basis for another photograph or illustration or altered in any way without written permission from and payment to Veronica von Allwörden.

Unauthorized use of these images infringes upon the rights of the photographer and prevents her from making a living. We are committed to protecting the copyright laws of these images and will take the necessary legal actions to enforce them. Copyright infringement is punishable by a fine of $100,000.00 in statutory damages. For more information on copyright see the US Copyright website: http://www.loc.gov/copyright/

Photography has no set price for the usage rate.  I use industry standard pricing software to determine the industry standard for your particular use, and consult other printed references for photographic pricing guidelines. I do not offer royalty free images.  We use the following factors, provided by our client, to determine the usage fee for any given image.  The image fees are based on these factors and others:

Additional Editing: Non standard sizing, Boundary and Property lines, Street names, etc…
Distribution: International, National, Regional, Local?
Color or B+W?

Production Costs
Rights: Do you need non-exclusive or exclusive usage rights?
Risks Involved
Size / Location: What size will the image be?  Quarter page, half page, full page, and where will it appear? Cover, Back Cover, Index, Other?
Time: How long will the image be displayed?
Type of Use: Advertising, Brochure, Corporate, Editorial, Educational or Electronic Media etc.
Shipping: UPS, Messenger, Federal express, Online Delivery?
Special Equipment Required
Uniqueness of the Image
Volume / Print Run: How many copies are to be printed?


Rights

You are granted a license for a ONE TIME NON-EXCLUSIVE USE -   Images are generally licensed for use on one domain only (i.e. www.yourdomain.com). Multi-domain or multi-media use licensing can be arranged. Image color and tone can be adjusted for web usage as required. Images licensed for web usage must be re-licensed for additional use on other domains or in other publications. A web usage license does not include entitlement to resell the image or reuse the image in any way. If additional use of the image is required or intended then please contact me to discuss.

Delivery

Image files can be delivered via FTP, a download link (preferred), or sent on CD/DVD.

Click on the image you wish to purchase and choose a size and then click “Add to Shopping Cart”.  If you have a question about an image select contact us in the top menu bar send me your query using the image numbers (The numbers look like CRAH051005-70, AA82S051114-12, ASH020805-01, etc.)

The above prices are for prints only. We do not frame or mount our prints. Please email me for custom size, canvas or Gilcée prints.  Whoever does your framing should treat these prints as they would treat any archival print. The prints are the highest grade, archival museum quality prints, rated to last between 60–70 years. All photographic prints should be kept out of direct sunlight. Due to the different sizes of some of the images not all of them can be printed in large sizes.
